I want to correct my last posting. My Dad was in the 84th Infantry, 334th Regiment, K Company, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded on Jauary 13, 1945. He passed away recently and I am looking for anyone who may have served with him. I am trying to uncover specifics about his experience in the war and like so many great men who served there he kept much of this to himself and unfortunately took it to his grave. God bless you all who served so bravely in this great battle.

I am posting again about my father Martin Segal who passed away last week. He was a proud member of the 84th Ifantry and fought in the Battle of the Bulge with the 332 regimen. I would love to hear from anyone who may have served with him.
I am looking for information/books that may help me find out what specific battles/campaigns my father, S SGT William F. Thomas (from Nanty Glo, PA) was involved in. His discharge paper reads "Battery A, 557th Anti Aircraft Artillery Battalion". But I remember him stating his unit was considered a "bastard unit" that served/fought with the 84th Infantry, 333rd Regiment under General Bolling. I appreciate your help. Linda Thomas-Long

My great Uncle, Leo Feagin, was in the 84th ID. As far as his unit goes that's all I know. I have his service number, awards, date he entered service, birth date, and his home of record. He passed away back in March of '94, and I'm trying to find any info about his unit and maybe any of his buddies that may still be around. I served in the army myself, 2/327th Inf 101st ABN Div, a tour in Iraq and Korea. He and my Granddad were half brothers and joined the same day, 23 Jan. 41, one went to Europe the other to the Pacific. All the info I've been able to get on either one of them has come from a roster of WW2 South Carolina Enlistments that I found at my local VA office. In this roster they have Feagin listed as being in Dco. 254th Inf 63rd ID. I contacted 63rd ID and they said yes he was assigned to them but not during the war, and that they're records said he transferred from the 84th. So here I am. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I am looking for anyone who knew (knows) Sgt. John W Dillard CO A 309th engineer combat battalion. He was a good friend of my grandfather during the war. I have many letters that reference him. If you know him and would be interested in scans of these letters please contact me. Thank you.

I am interested in any information on Company D, 334th Infantry Regiment, 84th Division. My dad served in Company D, but would never talk much about the war.
I was just wondering how you get a login to this website. I would like to know more about my grandfather Willie C. "Bud" DeFries who was in the 309th combat engineer battallion from 1942-1945.

Sadmin:
Thanks for the response re Donald Urschel. Excuse my lack of knowledge, but I don't understand the acronym"R.A.CE". Can you enlighten me; it's probably obvious to all but me.

I am trying to research a helmet that was found in the 84th ID's area near Espeler, Belgium. It has an initial and S/N inside the helmet, so if I could read through the correct section of the roster, I'm sure I could identify him. Would it be possible to have someone either look on my behalf or mail a copy of section "K", it would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian
Comment by Sadmin The 84th was in the Rogery-Beho-Gouvy tiangle. They were not as far east as Espeler, Belgium

I am looking for information about anyone who served with my father in Europe from November, 1944 until the end of the war. He was Pfc. Donald Richard Urschel (35844207) and was in A Company of the 334th; he died November 12, 1998. The only names I am aware of are Eugene Vadakin (died Athens, or perhaps Marietta, Ohio, 1965), Pfc. Thomas A. Fabiano (lived on Long Island, New York, in 1963), Sgt. Mack L. Morris (lived in St. Petersburg, FL in 1967), and Ed Olson (sp?) (lived in Humboldt, Iowa in 1970).
